Summer is officially here, which also means that Pride Toronto is just around the corner. To kick off this week-long event, the Faculty is hosting Pride Mob – a Zumba dance party – on June 27! No previous Zumba experience is necessary – just come out and get ready to dance to some awesome Latin beats with easy-to-follow moves that are sure to inspire! What: Pride Mob When: Monday, June 27, 2 – 4 p.m. Where: Varsity Stadium on Bloor Street (enter from south, off Devonshire Place) Join students, staff, friends and allies at Varsity Centre as we kick off U of T’s week of Pride celebrations! Be sure to check out some other fun Pride events happening on campus: What: Pre-Pride Party When: Monday, June 27, 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. Where: 4th Floor Lounge, 21 Sussex Pick up your t-shirts, decorate placards and make plans for the grand parade on Saturday, July 3! What: Pride Pub When: Wednesday, June 29, 5.30 p.m. – 1 a. m. Where: Hart House, 7 Hart House Circle Get out in the open under the stars at U of T’s Pride Pub. On June 29, Hart House and the Sexual & Gender Diversity Office at U of T present the Pride Toronto-affiliated, 17+ celebration in the open air of the Hart House Quad. Featuring cool house beats by DJ Cozmic Cat and Augusta Ale, flagship beer of Kensington Brewery, this annual event draws students, staff, alumni, and the LGBTTIQQ2SA* community members for a pulsating party.

What: Pride and Remembrance Run When: Saturday, July 2, 10:00 a.m. Where: Church & Wellesley Run or walk with the U of T OUT-Pacers Team! 5km run or 3km walk FREE 5km Training Group at the Runners Shop on Thursdays/Sundays What: Pride Parade When: Sunday, July 3rd, 1:30 p.m. Where: Meet up on Rosedale Valley Road at Bloor Join the U of T contingent and show Toronto your Pride! Check out the Parade route and join us on the day for samba music and dancing all day.
