10 Easy Steps to Registration for Admitted Students
Before you finalize your decision of which university program offer to accept, we invite you to visit us on Saturday, May 15, 2010 if you did not attend a March Break session, or if you are looking for more information. If you have already decided to accept your BPHE or BPHE/CTEP offer from the University of Toronto and do not wish to visit in May, then we encourage you to attend the Welcome and Information Session on Tuesday June 29, 5-7 p.m. (new date). E-mail us immediately to confirm your attendance at these sessions. Both sessions will take place at the Faculty.
| 1. | Attend the Information Session, May 15, 2010 1-4 p.m. (if applicable) Learn more about the BPHE and BPHE/CTEP Programs and the revisions to our curriculum, including the new Bachelor of Kinesiology* degree program, planned for implementation starting September 2010 (*pending approval by the Ministry of Training Colleges and Universities). The session will include a Power Point presentation and tour of the facilities led by current students. |
| 2. | Accept your Offer of Admission before it expires.
Follow the Instructions in your admission package. Places in our program cannot be guaranteed after the deadline for accepting your offer, accept early and ensure the University has received your response by consulting the Status Check web site. |
| 3. | Submit your Residence Preference Form.
If you have applied for on-campus housing follow the instructions on the form enclosed with your offer or complete it online at the Student Housing Service web site. If you did not apply for housing but now wish information on off-campus housing or residence vacancies please contact the Student Housing Service. |
| 4. | Obtain your TCard and UTOR email account beginning May 31, 2010. Your TCard is your U of T student card and photo ID. For information about obtaining your TCard, including required documentation and office hours, please visit the TCard web site. Once you have your TCard, activate your UTORid account and this will automatically create your UTORmail account, which is UofT's institutional e-mail service. It is required that all UofT students set up and use their UTOR email account. Ensure you check your UTORmail regularly, this is how we will communicate with you regarding all aspects of your university career. Also remember to update your e-mail address on ROSI after you set up your account. |
| 5. | Work out your budget and if need be, apply for financial assistance from your province of residence. Visit the Financial Aid web site for budgeting tips and links to the various forms of financial assistance. Ontario residents apply for OSAP on-line at the OSAP web site, applications are usually available by May 31. Also apply for the “Queen Elizabeth II Aiming for the Top Scholarship” at the OSAP web site; the deadline is usually mid June. Tuition fees will be available in July. As a guide, last year's fees for domestic students were $5,966.98 and $23,075.98 for International students. For CTEP the fees were $6,197.98 and $23,088.98 respectively. |
| 6. | Attend the Welcome and Information Session, Tuesday June 29, 5-7 p.m. (new date) ** At this session you will obtain your 'Enrolment and Registration Information Package' including instructions for course selection and registration. You can obtain your TCard (student ID card) on this day, view details at the TCard web site. |
| 7. | Pay your Camp fees to reserve a place for the required Year I Outdoor Project.
The camp cost is $330 and the first day to pay is June 29. The deadline to pay for ODP100H1 is August 16. Payment can be made by VISA/MC/AMEX, or by Interac or cash in person. Cheques are not accepted. The camp runs August 30-Sept. 3, 2010. Full details will be available in your registration package** in June. Please note that all camps require overnight stays. | 8. | Enrol in academic & activity courses on ROSI beginning July 7, 2010. ROSI opens at 6:00 a.m. on July 7 for FPEH undergraduate students. ROSI is the University of Toronto’s enrollment & student records system. Full details will be available in your registration package** in June. |
| 9. | Enrol in Arts and Science options beginning August 11, 2010. An Arts and Science Calendar and Timetable will be provided in your registration package** in June. |
| 10. | Pay the first instalment of your tuition fees by August 23, 2010 or have your fees deferred, if you will be receiving OSAP.

**Students who live outside the province of Ontario and cannot attend the Welcome and Information Session should email the FPEH Undergraduate Program Office to make arrangements for receiving their Enrolment and Registration package. The full package will also be available online at the Year I Transition web page starting June 30. We will be happy to provide assistance with choosing and enrolling in your courses by e-mail and/or telephone.
