Athletic Centre Rental Information

The Athletic Centre boasts a wide range of athletic and meeting facilities, many of which can be rented to student and community groups. Please note that rental availability is limited, particularly during the school year.

Student groups: take advantage of dedicated space and discounted rates!

IT’S IMPORTANT TO KNOW:

• Unless your event is hosted by a recognized U of T student group, you must have an insurance policy for at least $2,000,000-$5,000,000. There must be a “rider” on the certificate naming the Governing Council of the University of Toronto a “named insured” for the duration of the event. - - - - Rental confirmation will occur only after the certificate of insurance is supplied.
• If you are teaching or instructing anything during the event, we must see a certificate of qualifications prior to confirmation.
• U of T groups have priority for rental space.
• Due to limited availability, on-going bookings are rarely available.
• Commercial ventures that are in direct competition with our own internal programmes will not be accommodated

WHAT YOU’LL FIND HERE:

Gyms & Courts
Sports Gym – 12,000 sq feet multi sport gym with hard wood floor and bleacher seating for approx 600.
Upper Gym – 6,000 sq feet hard wood floor multi sport gym
Lower Gym – 6,000 sq foot sprung floor dedicated primarily to gymnastics
Field House – 57,000 square foot multi sport area with track
Strength & Conditioning Centre- free weight and circuit training area
Squash Courts- Available for member bookings (through the main office) and large group bookings/rentals.

Pools
Varsity Pool – Olympic-sized (50M) swimming pool with eight lanes
Benson Pool – Six-lane, 25-yard pool

Multi-Purpose Facilities
Dance Studio – 2100 sq foot hard wood floor area with stretching bars and wall mirrors
Fencing Salle – 1760 sq foot hard wood floor area with wall mirrors
Benson Activity Space – 2300 sq feet
Student Lounge – 1500 sq feet a versatile hard wood event space
