Clubs FAQs

Does the Faculty operate clubs?
The Faculty operates a limited number of clubs: women’s fast pitch, Masters swimming, ultimate Frisbee, triathlon and synchronized swimming. After a review in 2002, other traditional clubs became registered recreational activities that are led by student advisory groups. They are: recreational karate, recreational kendo, supervised badminton and supervised table tennis.

How can I join a club?
Information on how you can become involved in the above programs are found throughout the AC Guide in the aquatics and sport pages.

Can my club get FPEH club status?
Student campus groups looking to apply for Faculty of Physical Education and Health club status can obtain a Club Policy and Student Group Advisory Committee Handbook. Click here to get your copy of the Clubs Handbook .

Can my club rent space at the AC?
Once recognized, student campus groups can put forth an application to rent facility space for a fee at the Athletic Centre. Space is very limited as it depends on the nature of the activity.  Applications for facility rentals must be made prior to Sept. 30 for the fall term, Nov. 30 for the winter term and April 30 for the spring term.  If demand exceeds the space available, any available space will be awarded by a lottery system. Contact ac.facilities@utoronto.ca for further rental information.
